Games | News | Ubisoft at E3 2017: Announcements

Ubisoft's E3 showcase was on Monday 12th June, and presented us with a concise selection of games, with some more in the typical Ubisoft vein than others. For instance Mario + Rabbids. I mean, whoever thought that we needed an Xcom style Mario cross Rabbids universe was um... I mean yeah man, you do you. Don't let the haters get you down! But overall, I think Ubisoft showed a couple of games that were unexpected, to say the least. Full conference is embedded at the bottom of the post.

What they announced:

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Assassin's Creed: Origins

The Crew 2

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Skull and Bones

Just Dance 2018

Starlink: Battle for Atlas

Steep: Road to the Olympics (Expansion)

Far Cry 5

Beyond Good and Evil 2

What I'm looking forward to:

Far Cry 5
Of course it's Far Cry 5. I jumped in on number 3 and have loved it since. I love all that the Far Cry series has to offer: crafting, gathering, unlocking, upgrading.. you know the drill. 4 had dipped a bit and in my opinion didn't hold a candle to 3, and 5 isn't looking like it's going to match 3 either, but I love the new setting and I love all cult and/or occult themes in all my pop culture. At the end of the day, I'm going to buy it because I love the Far Cry series, and I want to believe in it. Really hoping it's not going to go the way of Assassin's Creed.

Beyond Good & Evil 2
I don't think anyone was expecting this one! By the time I'd heard of BG&E it was already a bit too dated for me to face playing, but now that 2 is coming out I might give it a punt as 2 looks great. It seems to have a really unique premise, plot, and setting (for me, at least, as I've never played the first one), so I'm excited to give it a go!
